MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – Minnesota has recorded its first coronavirus-related death in a child.
Few details about the boy were released, but health authorities say the boy was in Clay County and was between 0 and 5 years old.
The news comes as Governor Tim Walz reflects on whether to reopen schools in the fall.
Also Monday, Minnesota investigators announced that they had sent warning letters to 14 bars and restaurants that violated Walz’s order allowing the safe reopening of businesses during the pandemic.
Those in violation could have to pay fines or lose their liquor license.
