Two protesters were injured Saturday in Southern California, allegedly driven by a driver through a demonstration where supporters of President Trump and Black Lives Matter protesters gathered.

The driver did not stop after being driven by a mob in the Yorba Linda incident, about 34 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles, and was chased by protesters until he was apprehended by police after he crashed. An unidentified suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and attempted murder, the report said.

The victims were taken to a hospital with serious injuries, Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Carrie Brown said.

The driver joined the protest but officials did not say he was in favor. Authorities also declined to identify which side the victims were on, but the video on social media shows the suspect being driven primarily by Trump supporters, the register report said.
