The death toll from Vir Paso reaches 300 with 7 additional deaths

EL PASO, Texas – Public health officials announced Monday morning that seven more people had died from Covid-19 in El Paso County, causing the death toll to 300.

All of the deceased had underlying health conditions. They were identified as:

  • One woman in her 60s.
  • One man in his 70s
  • One woman in her 70s.
  • One woman in her 80s.
  • Three women in their 90s.

Officials reported 88 new cases on Monday, bringing the total fo the pandemic to 16,396.

There were 101 new repairs reported, which means that a total of 12,047 people have repaired them. However, research shows that those who have recovered may still have long-term effects from having the virus.

Officials reported hospitalizations due to the virus decreased from 211 to 198. The last time the number of hospital admissions was below 200 was on July 3rd.

They indicated that 73 of those patients were sitting in the intensive care unit while 41 were on ventilators.
