Earlier this month, Katie Camlin beat NFL experts to the news that Patrick Mahomes was signing a contract extension. Camlin, an employee at Plaza Liquor in Kansas City, MO, tweeted that a Chiefs employee came in and bought six bottles of Dom Perignon for “a great signing” other than defensive tackle Chris Jones, who correctly assumed he meant a Mahomes. agreement. Well, the Chiefs have now signed Jones to an extension, too, and that news will be officially released Wednesday through a team announcement. They teamed up with Camlin on Thursday for a fun video announcing that, as “The Brett Veach Special” (Veach is the CEO of the Chiefs):

This also led NFL people again to give Camlin some mentions on Twitter:

That’s done very well by the Chiefs and Camlin to capitalize on the interest in how she initially released the Mahomes news. And it’s a fun video to make around an extension, and one that certainly received far more attention than typical team social media moves.
