The chicks have reported to non-tendered Kyle Schwarber

Rumors have been circulating all afternoon, and naturally he’s on the table since the epidemic hit the 2020 season, but I’m a little stunned to see him.

Cubs is a non-tender tonight for Kennel Schwaber, allowing him to become a free agent:

Cubs have other tender decisions here.

With an estimated arbitration salary of around -10 10-10-10 million, you could say that this decision would seem daunting to save about 10 10 million for Cubs, or were thinking about Cubes that Schwarber wouldn’t see it in a free agency, or just wish for Cubs Keep going especially from Schwarber. It probably is. There are some combinations of the three, but I still trust that bat, so it’s hard – at the moment – it doesn’t seem like it’s mostly number one. I guess we’ll see what happens next, which will fill the story a bit more. Like, if the chicks go out and try to get Eddie Rosario to sign the same deal, you know they mostly just want to change the type of bat. If they don’t do something like that and Schwarber gets PAID elsewhere, fine

Much remains to be said in the coming days, both about Schwarber’s legacy with Cubes and how the free agency will work. It’s kind of weird at the moment, because when I knew there was a non-tender on the tender, you could tell from my writing earlier in the week that I didn’t expect this. It is still possible that Cubes might try to re-sign Schwerber for this se fancy deal, but usually in these situations, it is the right way to go.

If you are hoping to reconnect:

But sometimes that’s just what you say in these moments. More later. Person.
