The Burns of the Cincinnati Bengals get their 1st win, again throwing at 300

Cincinnati – Winning his first NFL on Sunday was not enough for the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Bur Burrow. He had to make history, when he did.

This year’s top overall draft pick eventually led to the first pro win in a 2-2 33-25 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars at the Paul Brown Stadium in Bengal. In the process, Burroughs became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to throw 300 or more yards in three straight games.

Against the Jaguars, the Buro once again showed why Cincinnati believes they are their next franchise quarterback. The Hizman Trophy winner went 25-of-36 for 300 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Burroughs scored a historic milestone in the fourth quarter to teammate Rookie T Higgins on a 23-yard finish.

He beat Chargers rookie Justin Herbert for achievements. Herbert had the crack to reach the feat coming in this weekend’s game against the Tampa Bay Bookers, but he completed 290 yards in a 38-31 loss.

The Bengals quarterback could have a big state line against Jacksonville (1-3-1-3) if a play goes to his couple. Receiver Tyler Boyd was denied a holding penalty. Burroughs threw the first half touchdown. In the latter part, Brorow threw a potential TD on the face mask of a tight end Drew Sample and he was fought off wrestling for an inception by Jacksonville linebacker Miles Jack. But first-half errors and a 13-10 halftime deficit were not enough to get Burroughs off to a strong start to his rookie season.

In the second part, the borough upheld the Cincinnati offense. Cincinnati (1-2-1) outsourced the Jaguars by 17 points in the third quarter. In that frame, Burroughs was passing 7-of-11 for 75-yards.

The Cincinnati borough came close to giving its first win in its NFL debut. The Bengals had a play to take a late lead over the Chargers in Week 1, a game the Bengals eventually lost after a missed field goal at the end of regulation.

On Sunday, Burroughs and the Bengals confirmed it had never been so close. Cincinnati also avoided going winless in their first four games for a second straight season, something the team hasn’t done in 20 years.
