Fall Guys is not only the irresistibly fun and accessible, multiplayer game that apparently everyone plays. It is also the source of some of the most beautiful moms of the summer, and adds much-needed joy to our timelines, since it was released on PC and PlayStation 4 on August 4th and 4th.
Some are already campaigning to name the Battle Royale-meets-Mario Party game the 2020 Game of the Year. But with several months left in 2020 (god help us), we are not yet ready to make that call. However, we explain it absolutely the undisputed game of the summer, helped by the fact that the internet has the spinning meme gold.
To begin, let’s make clear what Fall Guys even is.
Made by Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital, the new party game takes the latest player-standing battle royale concept popularized by the likes of Fortnite and apply it to a series of single-player and team-based minigames. There are only two button commands (jump and grip) that you learn to use so that the physics of ragdoll works in your favor instead of against you.
Those who cross the finish line before the game cap is reached for a given round or survive an obstacle of a level before time runs out will advance to the next round. Through a combination of skill and luck you can finish in the final stage, compete with a handful of remaining players to become the ultimate champion to get the coveted crown.
Above all that, Fall Guys is minimal-thought-required game that you can play with friends, making it the ultimate perfect socially entertaining virtual hangout activity. Also, because of how accessible it is, no one needs to feel left out; it is equally enthusiastic for players of all skill levels, ages, etc.
You do not even have to play Fall Guys enjoy existence. The memes and video clips that come out of the game are just as fun.
For example, what can fill the messages with shady messages of bad luck and destruction that overwhelm players? These are the kinds of messages that feed the soul of everyone – except the unfortunate victims, of course.
Then there are the inside jokes about elimination, helped only by Alex Jones representing That Type Of Player who loses only because their egos are too busy to haunt others at the finish line.

The yellow team – one of several colors that appear during the team-based rounds of the game – has also become a point of controversy and memeification.
Players started complaining that they always lost when they were on the yellow team. The conspiracy theory that was only magnified by the Fall Guys official Twitter account (a goldmine of comedy in itself) that makes the egg.
See for yourself promised to remove yellow team from the game if they reach 1 million retweets. When they did, however, the video only threatened to make everyone the yellow team instead.
Everyone’s favorite fighting game champion and non-binary furry internet icon SonicFox is coming into action. She insists it should definitely be a no-fight game considered a fighting game, posted several clips of their brutal elimination tactics that destroy lives.
The psychological warfare that is a trademark of SonicFox’s brilliant and entertaining style is also catchy. In this clip, a clever player uses the fundamental error In the level of the memory game against those who simply follow the crowd then you know, and use their memory to remember the correct tiles.
Part of what’s so great about it Fall Guys is the balance between happiness and strategy. This makes it a game that can not only be enjoyed by players of all skill levels, but one that also translates master strategies into streaks of unexpected ingenuity.
Unfortunately, because of the Internet, some people are still finding ways to destroy everyone’s intense pleasure. We will never understand it Fall Guys cheaters who hack the system. But we hope that your head tastes like ashes in your mouth and that the golden crown you “deserve” turns into dust in your hands.
