If you’ve unprepared the new Apple Play and Watch this holiday season, we’ve already prepared some of our top tips to get you started. There are also third-party Apple Play and Watch apps, which you can install to take your experience to the next level. Here are some of the best Apple Play and Watch apps to try.
Best Apple Watch Apps |
Flick type
While Apple Pull and Watch offer some innovative ways to input text on small displays, FlickType is a powerful and must-have application that attaches a real Qwerty keyboard to the device. Flicktype uses gesture typing to make inputting text as easy as possible, and the app always kicks in a powerful algorithm to make sure it registers the correct word.
Unfortunately, WatchOS has many limitations that affect the ability to integrate with applications such as the FlipType system. There is also an SDK that third-party developers can adopt to bring Flicktype into their application.
Flicktype Store 1.99 is available on the App Store as a one-time purchase. If you’re looking for a way to streamline the typing process on Apple Play and Watch, FlickType is a good idea.
S toslip
The release of this year’s OS Choice 7 brings support for the first native Sleep Tracker King on WatchPlus and native, but I still recommend AutoToSlip to people as a way to get more comprehensive sleep data from PalPlay. I’ve been using S Toslip for years, and it has proven to be a reliable and consistent way to monitor my sleep habits with the Apple Pal watch.
Sleep features include:
- The use of Advanced Heuristics S Toslip works on how long you have slept so you should not.
- If you wear your watch to bed, you don’t have to do a single thing. Toslip will track your sleep and quality and send you morning notifications.
- TSleep will also analyze the quality of your sleep. Using sleep, restlessness, waking up time and heart rate, it can get the quality of your sleep and provide you with a comprehensive analysis of the night.
S Toslip is available on the App Store for Store 3.99.
Outpost
If you’ve used Widgetsmith to customize your iOS 14 home screen, you’ll also want to check out Wisdom for Apple Play and Watch. As we’ve detailed in our full review, Watch Chasmith lets you create dynamic Apple Pal and Watch tweaks that can change throughout the day.
Here’s how developer David Smith described the app:
It starts with a huge collection of highly customizable complexities, ranging from date to weather, to astronomy. Everyone can be precisely customized to best suit your desired function and appearance.
This set of complications can then be dynamically scheduled to appear on the face of your watch by following the rules you declare. For example, a specific complication slot might show the weather first thing in the morning, then your calendar during your tenure, then switch to your activity ring progress as you wrap up your day. This allows you to take full advantage without having to constantly switch back and forth between the faces of each slot on your watch face.
With subscriptions to the app, you can download Watch Watch for free on the App Store.
Cardioboat
One of the most useful features of the Apple Watch is the ability to measure your heart rate throughout the day and during workouts. CardioBot is a powerful third-party application for visualizing that data. You can view data in the CardioBot app on the Apple Watch or iPhone:
CardioBot is an iPhone application that reads heart rate data stored by HealthPlay and Watch in HealthKit. The app differentiates readers into lower, normal, elevated and heart rate by different colors and charts, giving you an average glance.
CardioBot also supports data captured during workouts and meditation, and it can also provide sleep analysis information for a complete dashboard of your heart rate. All this is done with a minimal and elegant interface that makes it easy to view statistics for individual days, browse detailed timelines and compare day-to-day changes.
Cardiobot is a free download on the App Store, with subscriptions to the app to unlock all the features.

If you’re a Spotify user, you can now stream Spotify directly to Apple Watch. Download free Spotify on the App Store.
Homer
If you are an Apple Pal and Watch Chawla homekit user, Homeron is what you need to add to your setup. Homern is the best way to run homepage scenes from Apple Play with custom troubles and support for more. Essentially, it’s the homekit app for Apple Pal and Watch that Apple Pal should create from day one.
Set up daily routines on your watch with the complexities of switching references, icons and colors to your watch every day. In the morning, your complexion can start your day, make your coffee, then in the evening, it can turn off your lights for bed.

Carrot weather
Last but certainly not least, the carrot weather locks a variety of different pitfalls for your Apple Pal watch. Carrot Weather lets you add weather forecasts, real-time rain warnings, and more to your Apple Watch.
