Michelle Trubiski and the Bears are not finished yet.
Chicago’s playoff hopes are surprisingly alive today after an impressive win in Minnesota, a win in which Trubiski made a warm start, but then struggled late, and the Bears held it together enough to win 33-27.
In the old-school NFC North offensive game, the running backs of both teams, David Montgomery of Chicago and Dalvin Cook of Minnesota, had big days at the top in the rushing yard.
The win improves the Bears ’record to 7-7, and they’re still in the wild card argument. Chicago fans should make it a point to lose the Cardinals, as Arizona is the A team, the best chance for Chicago to get caught in the playoff standings.
The loss fell to the Vikings 6-8 and the playoff controversy. Although they are not mathematically removed, the Vikings will now need a series of impossible events to get to the playoffs.
The Bears also need help getting into the playoffs, but it’s definitely not out of control. Trubiski and the bear were left for dead a few weeks ago, but they may find themselves in the postseason.
