Ben Higgins went home during week nine, finishing third, but then was chosen as the next single. During his season, Higgins said to Joelle Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell, “I love you.” However, in the end, he proposed to Bushnell, and went on to star Ben and Lauren: Happily ever after? with her.
Fletcher was crushed after Higgins told him he loved her, but then he didn’t choose her. Fortunately, she went on to star in the upcoming bachelorette party and found the love of her life, Jordan Rodgers.

After the three consecutive seasons aired, Higgins wrote a special message to Bristowe and Fletcher on Twitter that made fans’ hearts melt.
“To be honest, @BacheloretteABC has been blessed with some amazing tracks, but I’ve had the gift of meeting @kaitlynbristowe and @JoelleFletcher personally and they are two of the best!” Higgins tweeted. “I am so glad that I found your partners, but also surprised, I can say that I know them!”

Fans quickly began responding to the tweet with sweet love messages for Higgins.
“You are like the kindest ex a girl could have, but that’s why everyone loves you,” replied a fan. “We are happy that you have found your happiness.”
Bristowe also responded to Higgins’ tweet in the most loving way.
“You are a beautiful man,” Bristowe tweeted after reading Higgin’s comment. “We are all very fortunate to meet and relate to all the ups and downs.”
How did Ben Higgins finally find love?
Higgins weather in The Bachelor It did not lead to lasting love, although he went to the show three times. Higgins met his girlfriend, Jessica Clarke, upon entering their Instagram DMs in late 2018. The couple made their relationship official in February 2019.

Higgins and Clarke got engaged on March 27, 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). Higgins planned to propose in Central Park in New York City; however, the closure uprooted those plans. Instead, he asked the question in Clarke’s parents’ yard next to a beautiful pond. She said “Yes”, and the rest is history.
