The Astros lost 2-1 going into the fifth before José Altuve tied things up with an infield single and Alex Bregman gave his team its first lead with a RBI single. Michael Brantley followed up with the deciding blow of the game, hitting a three-run homer in the empty right-field stands.
Justin Verlander conceded just three hits in six innings of work. Two of those hits were solo home runs by Kyle Lewis and Kyle Seager. Verlander was taken out with a huge lead after throwing just 73 pitches, striking out seven and walking just one.
