The Amazon shooting in 2020 marks the 12th domestic murder of Jacksonville


JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Friends and family have identified the 22-year-old woman who was shot and killed inside the Amazon Fullfilm Center in Jacksonville as Abo Nicholas.

On Wednesday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Design Biffel and charged him with second-degree murder. The former classmate, who asked not to be identified, told News4Jax that Nicholas and Biffley worked in a warehouse and had been dating since high school.

By News4Jacks count, Nicholas’ death marks the 12th local related murder of Jacksonville in 2020.

The former classmate said Biffel was fired from work Tuesday, the same day the shooting took place. That day, Buffalo posted a post on Instagram with a made-up question: “Death is no exception.”

On Nichols’ Instagram page, his last post is flooded with comments, much reading “RIP.”

“Ebony was really sweet. He was a kind of person if you go through something and you talk to him, he will make you forget what you are going through. And just about how she had this power, ”the classmate said.

If you go further back to Nicholas ’Instagram page, he tagged Biffel pictured with his son in a Fifa Day post.

The former classmate says Nichols posted on her Instagram story on Tuesday saying she was “alone” and “tired.” This was just a few days after I last spoke to him.

“She told me she had a problem with it.” “I wish I had done something to help him.”

Sheriff Mike Williams said so far this year in Jacksonville, overall domestic violence has increased by 7.3%, including all relationships, and partner violence by 5.3%.
