Cases of Covid-1 are on the rise across the country, with the NFL working on the same issue. For the past few weeks, things have been relatively quiet on the COVID-19 front for the league, but that has changed to Week 9.

It’s not even Friday yet and more than a third of the league’s 32 teams are dealing with at least one case. As of Thursday afternoon, there were 11 teams that either had to put a player on the reserve / covid-19 list or had to shut down their facility due to a COVID scare.

The two teams most affected will be the Packers and the 49ers, who will play on Thursday night. Each team was to put at least three players on their coveted list this week and none of them will be eligible to play on Thursday night.

Like other players around the league who have tested positive or have been placed on the reserve / covid-19 list because they are seen as a high-risk contact, they could probably still play on Sunday if they record five straight days. Negative tests. (This only applies to players who are on the list on Monday or Tuesday. Any player who will be added to the list after that will have to go out by the 9th week.)

Here are the teams that have been impacted by COVID-19 this week.

  • 49ers: San Francisco has four players on the reserve / COVID-19 list. Wide receivers Brandon Ayuk and Debo Samuel were considered close contacts of the receiver Kendrick Bourne, who tested positive, with Trade Williams starting from the beginning of Trade Williams. No one will be allowed to play on Thursday night.
  • Packers: The Packers have three persons in the reserve / covid-19 list: AJ Dillon and Jamal Williams backing runs with lininger Kamal Martin. None of the three will be allowed to play on Thursday night.
  • Lions: Matthew Stafford was the biggest name on any team’s list of reserve / covid-19 this week and is currently one of the two Lions players on the list, along with linebacker Jarrad Davis.
  • Crows: Baltimore is not only dealing with the positive test of Cornbach Marlon Humphrey, but they were also to put in linebacker Matt Juden, Tys Bowser, Patrick Queen, LJ Fort and Malik Harrison with defensive back Terrell Bonds. And Dyson Elliott is on the reserve / COVID-19 list. The Ravens play the Colts this week.
  • Texans: The Texans decided Thursday to cancel the process and shut down their facility after testing linebacker Jacob Martin. Positive for COVID-19. Linebackers Whitney Merkills and Dylan Cole Also placed on COVID-19 The reserve list is now unfit to play in Sunday’s game due to the close contact between Martin and these three players. Textons will move to Jacksonville in the 9th week.
  • Cowboys: The Cowboys had hoped Andy Dalton could play this week, but it didn’t happen, as he was placed on the team’s reserve / covid-19 list. Instead, the Cowboys will go with either Cooper Rush or Garrett Gilbert to face undefeated Steelers.
  • Bear: Offensive face Jason Sprigs tested positive for COVID-19, which dropped him and defended German Efedi on the reserve / COVID-19 list. The league determined it was a high-risk close contact. Offensive lineman Cody Whitehair has also tested positive, According to NFL.com.
  • Broncos: The Broncos have added practice squads Darren Paulo and Defensive & Shelby Harris to the Covid-19 list. G.M. Some members of the Broncos Front have also tested positive, including John Alway and the team’s president, Alice. The Broncos play the Falcons on Sunday.
  • Cardinals: Arizona this week had to put two players on the reserve / covid-19 list in linerback Devon Kennard and Cornwall Byron Murphy Jr., both of whom tested positive. If Murphy and Canard can’t play, the Cardinals will host the Dolphins on Sunday with a potential depletion defense.
  • Colt: In Indianapolis, the Colts had no player testing positive, but they have a team employee who came down with COVID-19. Because of that situation, the Colts will practice like normal Thursdays, but individually all meetings have turned into virtual meetings.
  • Heads: Like the Colts, the Chiefs also tested the staff member positively. The team will hold practice on Thursday morning and then close their facility. Team meetings scheduled for Thursday afternoon will be held virtually.

Speaking of the NFL schedule, the league is unlikely to make any changes in the 9th week, but if things get any crazier, who knows what will happen.
