The 2020 model LG OLED CX Series 4K TVs are for sale: The perfect TV for PS5 or Xbox Series X

One of these days we will have details on pricing and pre-orders for PS5 and Xbox Series X. But for now, we just have a lot of promises of our futures for next gen. However, that does not mean that you should now prepare yourself to be fully immersed in the capabilities of the following consoles. One of the best TVs is currently priced at $ 350 at Newegg, which means you can customize and calibrate your screen well ahead of the “holiday release” for both new consoles.

The smaller model CX series OLED from LG is significantly less expensive. However, Amazon is sweetening the deal by including a pair of LG wireless earbuds, as well as an additional $ 50 discount at check-out.

This is the largest of the CX series for sale, and it also has the largest relative savings. It’s still very expensive, but the price is now 20% off the original price, just over $ 1000 in savings, and it’s a colossal 77 “screen.

The TVs of the LG CX series have 4 HDMI inputs, all of which support 4K signals at 120Hz. This means that no matter what input you use, you will be able to enjoy PS5 and Xbox Series X games at 120fps (if the games support that framerate).

One thing I have to point out: to really take advantage of a 4K / 120Hz signal from your next gen console, you will need an HDMI cable that supports the HDMI 2.1 standard. A 4K signal at that refresh level requires a large amount of data, something that the HDMI cables you are currently using do not support. We do not know if the Xbox Series X or PS5 will include HDMI 2.1 cables, but to be honest, we also do not know many important details about these two systems. I would be surprised that they do not have the cables in the box, but they are a bit more expensive than your standard HDMI cable, so who knows?

Another cool thing about the CX series is that it supports composite hook-ups, although you do need an adapter. That’s good news if you want to connect your N64 as something, although I personally do not recommend using modern TVs to play classic games. But I’m very dumb, so who am I to discourage you from having fun? Go wild.

Save some money now, and fully prepare yourself when pre-orders of PS5 and Xbox Series X pre-orders go live.
