Thanksgiving Week Weather Forecast – CNN

About 500 million people are expected to travel this week despite health warnings, the AAA said. Other modes of travel, such as air, train and bus, will come down easily from last year, AAAA said.

Regardless of the mode of transport, any trip away from your home this year is risky.

The CDC warns that traveling can increase your chances of getting and spreading COVID-19. Postponing travel and staying home is the best way to keep yourself and others safe this year.

For those who care about health warnings and plan a virtual or outdoor celebration, the next question is, will Mother Nature cooperate with your holiday plans?

Walking on weekends

On Sunday morning, the main focus will be the fountain line from Detroit to Little Rock, Arkansas. Rainfall is a major concern south of Toledo, Ohio. To the north of that point, there will be a rain / snow mix.

By Sunday afternoon, the fountains turned east with the main focus between Syracuse, New York and Nashville.

On Sunday evening, the shower will affect areas from Burlington, Vermont to Atlanta.

On Monday, the main focus of the fountains will be on Carabu, Maine, Raleigh, North Carolina.

The good news is, overall rain and snow accumulation is expected to be on the downside. During Monday, rain should be an inch or less in most places.

The accumulation of snowfall will be primarily an inch or less as it will merge with the rain in many places. Elevated heights of green and white mountain as well as 2-4 inches of northern Maine can get a little more snow wherever possible.

Floridians would also like to keep an eye on a little rain, mainly in the eastern part of the state. Heavy rain is expected Sunday in Jacksonville, Rio de Janeiro and Miami before drying up for the rest of next week.

Eastern U.S. Not the only area that will be dealing with the weekend atmosphere as we end the weekend.

“On Sunday, multiple fronts will move to the Pacific Northwest. On Sunday afternoon the systems will rain in parts of the Northwest.” Says the weather forecast center. “As the rain moves inland, in the interior of the northwest, high elevation snow and low elevation rainfall will develop.”

The Central Rockies and South Plains areas, including Salt Lake City, will also see a chance of rain after Monday to Sunday.

The next hurricane goes inside

By Tuesday and Wednesday the system, which was in the Pacific Northwest over the weekend, will move to the Central Plains and the Midwest.

But the Pacific Northwest will again turn its attention to the new weather, as numerous disturbances spread across the region during the holiday season early next week.

November is always the darkest time of the year in the Northwest, and this week this smoke will live up to expectations. Rain is expected in Seattle and Portland, both in Reagan, from Sunday to Wednesday.

Denver will also see some rain on Tuesday, but it will be mostly in the form of snow. Temperatures on Tuesday will see a sharp drop from a low of 60 on Monday to a high of more than 40 in the middle.

For the southern plains, not only rain but hurricanes are forecast in Oklahoma City, Dallas and Wichita, Kansas on Tuesday.

By Wednesday the same system will be centered down the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast. Probably the biggest impact will be on cities like Cleveland, Chicago, Atlanta, Memphis, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas. Heavy rain will be from Indianapolis to Little Rock, where 1-3- 1-3 inches is possible. Interstate 65, 70 and 75 will often experience heavy rainfall.

Messi’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Messi’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is still scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. in New York City and while most of the show “TV-for-TV” is expected to air this year, there will also be huge balloons and decorative floats featured.
Messi’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will run, but only in TV ground

For those taking part in the parade locally, temperatures are forecast to hover around ૦ degrees Celsius in the early morning hours, with temperatures forecast to be in the mid-0’s. It also has a chance for scattered showers in the morning, but winds are expected to be light between 5 and 10 miles per hour.

Messi’s Thanksgiving Day parade has seen many cold, windy and humid conditions in the past, so this year’s weather forecast shouldn’t be too worrying for a live performance.

Will Mother Nature cooperate in your outdoor Thanksgiving?

The CDC said small outdoor gatherings are allowed, but will the weather cooperate? In many areas, the answer is yes.

The Upper Midwest and the desert southwest will be the two most promising destinations for dry weather.

Minneapolis, Kansas City and Green Bay, Wisconsin, will all offer a light, dry Thanksgiving. Cloudy weather will also begin in Chicago, with temperatures remaining very sunny until noon.

That’s a different story from Maine to Florida, where rain is forecast on Thursday. But it will not be a complete washout and the temperature will be about 5-15 degrees above normal.

“The best prospects for White Thanksgiving are in Maine, where there will be an inch or more of snow on the ground for 1 percent of the morning,” said the National Weather Service office in Kerry. So far, Caribou, Bangalore and Augusta all have rain / snow forecasts for Thursday.

In those cities, along with western destinations like Denver and Cheyenne, Wyoming, which is also prone to snow on Thursdays, it would be best to watch Messi’s Thanksgiving Day Parade from the comfort of your warm bed.
