The injury fracture bit the Texas Longhorns early in the camp for press season. Freshman wide receiver Troy Omeire has been generating a ton of buzz since reporting to campus and has performed at a high level since camp began, according to observers. Omeire is now expected to be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a knee injury during the team’s first check of camp.
Per Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods tore Omeire’s ACL during the checkout and currently has no timetable for a return.
Teas freshman receiver Troy Omeire tore his ACL during Saturday’s checkout and has been out indefinitely, according to my sources. Omeire was a big standout at training camp and expected to contribute this season.

On Sunday afternoon, the school confirmed the news after Omeire acknowledged on Twitter that some injury had occurred.
This is an unfortunate break for the Longhorns, as it looked like Omeire was initially an early contender when the season ended. The Longhorns have good numbers on the position, so they are happy in that regard, but Omeire had certainly excited everyone to see how he would perform under the lights on Saturday this fall.
Omeire will miss the 2020 season with the non-contact injury.
