Texas mother-of-two found dead, tortured, with all teeth missing in Mexico

A Texas mom-of-two was found in Mexico – dead, tortured and with all her teeth removed – a day after she was reported missing, police and local reports said.

Lizbeth Flores, 23, traveled from Brownsville to the Mexican border town of Matamoro on August 9, presumably to meet her friend, her mother, María Rubio, told Telemundo.

Flores told her mother she would return that night. But, when she was nowhere to be found the next day, Rubio reported her missing.

Authorities in Matamoros found Flores’ broken body on August 11 and said it looked like it had been tortured, ABC branch KRGV-TV reported.

Police believe Flores died after being hit in the head with a large rock found at the gruesome scene.

Her body is with the forensic investigator in Matamoros as the investigation continues. The FBI is also involved in the investigation.

“Losing a child is like losing your heart,” said Flores’ devastated mother.

The grieving woman said she wants to bring her daughter’s body back to the US so she can identify herself personally.

“I feel so sad because of what they did to my daughter,” Rubio Telemundo said in Spanish. ‘The way they left her … The pain my daughter was going through there, in that moment. That’s what hurts. ”

She called for everyone involved in her daughter’s death to be brought to justice.

“She was young. “She had a lot of things for her, and more because she had two children,” Rubio said. “I want what they did to my daughter, everyone who took to her death, I want her to pay.”
