The 23-year-old was probably tortured.
A Texas mother-of-two has been killed in Mexico.
23-year-old Lizbeth Flores was found dead in Matamoros on Tuesday morning, a day after she was reported missing in her Brownsville home.
Her body was covered with bruises, and all of her teeth were missing, prompting leading researchers to believe she had been tortured beforehand.

She died from blunt trauma to the head, police said consistently with a large rock found nearby.
She had crossed the border via Veterans International Bridge shortly after 5pm on Sunday to meet her friend, and told her mother she would be back that night.
When she did not return, her terrible mother called police – but as she was leaving the country, all she could do was submit a report of a missing person.
“It was 11, 12, 1, 2, and I kept advising her to find out where she was and why she was not coming home, and I could not sleep all night because I was waiting for her.” her remarried mother María Rubio told KRGV.

“I ask for justice for what they did to my daughter – she did not deserve this.”
Flores’ body remains with a forensic investigator in Matamoros; the FBI is investigating now.
