As a junior, seeing rotational time in the Shadow Creek defense, Cooks was made second-team all-district, on line-backer. During his junior year, Cook made 72 tackles, 2 TFLs and 3 tackles.
Texas has probably been at the linebacker position and will now move to finish the defensive line class and join the secondary group if any candidates present themselves.
At 6 ft-2, 210 pounds, according to 247 Sports Composite, Cooks is ranked as the No. 20 linebacker in the nation and the 46th overall prospect in Texas.
