Texas A&M footballer arrested in Berlson County


KDWELL, Texas (KBTX) – A Texas A&M University football player was arrested last week on December 22 in Berlin County, KBTX has learned.

The Texas A&M Athletics Department has confirmed that true fresh offensive lineman Chris Morris was arrested and is aware of head coach Jimbo Fisher’s situation. The Berlin County Sheriff’s Office said Morris avoided arrest on charges of motor vehicle and reckless driving. He posted a bond of ,500 6,500 and was released according to the sheriff’s office fees.

A copy of a law enforcement document sent to KBTX shows Morris was in a Dodge Challenger and was stopped on Highway 21 Tuesday morning on CR 327 north of Giddings.

Aggie Athletics said Morris is not in practice this week and will not be going to Miami with the team. North Carolina is playing in the Aegis Orange Bowl on January 2nd.

No booking photo of Morris. The Berlusconi County Sheriff’s Office said the marrow was down when it was being booked.
