Texans WR Will Fuller may be moved by Tuesday’s trading deadline

Will Fuller could finish the rest of his breakout campaign with another franchise.

Fuller, the Texans’ leading receiver in seven games, has caught the eye of several teams, including the Green Bay Packers, and could extend the trading deadline, NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday. NFL Total Admission. Houston has 4 a.m. ET Tuesday to make a decision.

The rapporteur reported on Sunday that the organization’s interest in the wider field of Texans goes back to the summer.

Elected in the first round in 2016, Fuller has a cat1 catch for a yard (1.8. Y YPC) and five touchdowns, with one week left thanks to Houston’s Bay. The Texans (1-6) are currently tied with the Jaguars for the second-worst win percentage in the AFC.

If Fuller lands in Wisconsin, his addition would be very welcome, as the Packers lack the No. 2 receiver assigned next to Davant Adams. The move will also reunite Matt LaFleur, who served as a quarterback coach at Notre Dame in 2014 when Fuller was a sophomore.

Alan Lazard was shaping up to be another option before he was injured in Week Week, but his return is still a bit far. Mકેrquez Valdes-Scantling, mostly used as a deep-risk target, has struggled most of the season, scoring 15 catches for 242 yards.

Fuller has spent most of his career as a big-play specialist and is outstanding despite dealing with many serious injuries. Playing one more spotlight role for Texans in 2020, he proved that he is capable of handling heavy workloads.

Before the start of the season, Fuller said “if the sky is the limit” he can stay healthy, which is what he’s been able to do so far. As we get closer to the deadline, it looks like there is a team that is preparing to move some assets to see how high their assets can be.
