Chaos producers see the Seahawks as a favorite choice to keep quarterback Russell Wilson. Chaos makers have quarterback Deshen Watson as their favorite to keep the Texans, but the numbers aren’t nearly as strong.
Textons, via PointsBet, is +250 to be the team with which Watson takes his next snap. This means that if the Texans keep Watson, the 100 dollar bet will win 250 dollars.
Frankly, it seems too tall. By all indications, Watson says what he means, even if it is only said privately. Watson is not playing for the Texans again, and no one has reported. Thus, if it is Blue, it is very good.
The Panthers are at +300, behind the Texans. Then comes the Broncos at +400, the Dolphins and the 49ers at +700, the Jets at +800, and the Bears at +900.
Of the 22 teams listed, the Packers have a longshot at +15000. Like Russell Wilson Longshot (Chiefs), those differences are too great.
There are cardinals not listed at all. With the merged one-way pipeline between Houston and Phoenix, however, it is interesting to consider Deshaun for the Killer Murray trade – a move that would be a quarterback-for-quarterback deal after the Houston Oilers sent Dan Pastorini to the Raiders. Kenny Stabler, if not more significant than that.
It’s more realistic to see Watson end up with a team like the Dolphins, as Miami has the ammunition to make the deal, in part on the Miami Holdings (among other things) selection in the 2021 draft in the first round of Houston, which is also the third overall pick.
