Tesla’s new Model 3 center console and wheels stimulate communication in the EV community

Recent photos from Tesla’s Fremont factory show that the electric car maker is bringing “refreshed” versions of its Model 3 sedan. The newly manufactured vehicles have featured many subtle updates, including a new center console and some rather specialized wheels. And like every change on that favorite product, Tesla enthusiasts are fairly divided about the changes.

A look at the newly produced model 3s shows that Tesla has accepted what seems to be a more traditional design for the new center console of the L-Electric sedan. Unlike the seamless piano black console of the original Model 3, the “inspirational” vehicles feature a matte finish, silver accents and fox leather stitching. The phone charger cover in the original console has also been removed.

A number of Tesla owners immediately welcomed the new update, with some saying the new Center console design just looks more refined and luxurious. Others, however, argued that the original Piano Black console works better because it fits perfectly with the vehicle’s minimalist interior and smooth, elegant lines. Some have even commented that the new console looks like something that legacy automakers like GM or Chrysler will design for their cars.

It’s not just the Model 3’s center console that causes some conversation in the electric car community. Even among Tesla enthusiasts, the wheels of the vehicle have become an interesting place. This is largely due to the appearance of the new Model 3 wheels, which now have a slightly different look compared to their classic 19 ”Sport wheels.

New Wheels, which were initially shared on the EV blog Electric, Should be the same size as the classic 19 sport wheels. However, it is particularly agile, suggesting that new wheels may be formalized for efficiency. The new wheels are also very interesting in that not all of their spokes are the same shape. Along with this, with the appearance of the new wheels, the suggestions inspired that they could be Tesla’s new Arrow Covers for the Model 3.

Like the new center console, the newly-spotted Model 3 wheels also received polarizing reactions from the Tesla community, with many owners of the previous 19 noting that “the sport wheels looked very good. That said, it should be noted that the new Model 3 wheels actually look very similar to the Model S ‘Slipstream wheels, which are being sold today by Tesla as part of its Winter Tire package.

As noted by many Tesla owners, the welcome polarization by the company’s enthusiasts is very much on the form for the electric car manufacturer. Other Tesla creators, after all, received a mixed response during their unveiling, only to be better accepted later. A good example of this is Cybertruck, which divided the EV community to such an extent that some Tesla owners called the electric car manufacturer over the vehicle. Almost a year later, as indicated by its huge reserve list, the cybertruck is highly accepted.
