A Tennessee state senator has been charged with using federal funds to pay for his wedding and flamboyant lifestyle, prosecutors announced in a statement this week.
According to New York Post reports, Senator Katrina Robinson stole $ 600,000 between 2015 and 2019, which was awarded to The Healthcare Institute, a company she ran.

In addition to the costs of the wedding, the state Democratic senator who was elected in 2018 is also accused of using the money to pay for a luxurious honeymoon and to pay the legal fees for her divorce.
Robinson also allegedly bought his daughter a 2016 Jeep Renegade, invested in a snow cone business run by his children, and paid for the house renovations with the money, according to federal investigators.

She was charged with theft, embezzlement, and wire fraud.
Robinson said he plans to continue serving in the state legislature “with the same integrity, the same passion that I have demonstrated since you elected me to this position.”
