Here’s a roundup of a couple Tenet related items. Do you remember Tenet, right? The movie that cinema will save, as we know it, if it does not give us the whole coronavirus in the process?
First: Tenet will have advance screens in the US – in places where cinemas are open, that is. Second: a new survey indicates that although public would do so rather to look Tenet in theaters, they would also be okay to see it at home. And third, and perhaps the most surprising bit of news yet: the film has a new song by rapper Travis Scott dat Christopher Nolan calls “the last piece of a year-long puzzle.”
Early Tenet screens
Tenet has already been screened for criticism in the United Kingdom, Canada, and several other non-United States locations, as the U.S. remains a motionless ship drifting toward an iceberg made of foxes. But Christopher Nolan’s big sci-fi spy epic is scheduled to open here on September 3rd here in America, which makes us wonder: do we get early screens here first?
The answer: yes. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. screenshots of early access in Tenet for August 31, September 1 and September 2 – where possible. You see, not every state is ready to reopen their theaters, so this is not going to be a widespread series of advance screens. In other words, if you live in New York and are hoping for something early Tenet action, sorry, you are lucky.

Tenet Home?
Let’s get this out of the way: there’s no way in hell that Warner Bros. will release Tenet on VOD early. They just will not. However, if they the, audiences would be more than happy to see it there if possible. By variety:
A survey of more than 1,000 people in the United States conducted between August 3-10. Only 12% said they would probably only see a movie in a theater when there were 90 waiting to see it at home on premium VOD (at a $ 20 price point). Another 15% said they would probably see it in a theater first. In contrast, 21% said they would probably wait to see at home, and 23% said they would definitely wait.
Again: Warner Bros. does not matter, and they will not jump and release the gun Tenet on VOD early. But if they the, it seems like that would not be so bad in the eyes of moviegoers.
Tenet and Travis Scott

GQ reached out to Nolan here, and the filmmaker said, ‘His voice became the last piece of a year-long puzzle. His insight into the musical and narrative mechanism [composer] Ludwig Göransson and I built were immediate, insightful and deep. “
I actually have no idea what this means, but I can not wait to find out. What I assume I will do when Tenet hits Blu-ray, because there seems to be no way I can watch this damn movie at any moment.
