In the beginning, Tekashi 6ix9ine opposed lace front wig highlights. He wasn’t sure what it would look like in anything other than his signature rainbow locks, but, once he tried a few different styles, there was no going back.

Like Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion, and a group of other (typically female) rappers, Tekashi 6ix9ine is stocking up some flashy wigs to keep cool. She’s been trusting Jonathan Wright, who has also worked with Megan, for her new look.

Speaking about his work for 69, Jonathan revealed what he’s planning for the rapper’s next reveal, which may arrive tomorrow for the release of “Yaya.”

“Actually, I’m turning to him tonight for his next look,” Wright told Page Six. “I could do a half and a half: a red rainbow and a gold metallic appearance. I’d like to try pressing the buttons.”

Damn, that sounds pretty extreme. Red rainbow with metallic gold? We will have to see it to judge.

Wright also explained how Tekashi initially disagreed with the wigs, changing his mind after seeing the stylist work with someone else.

“Tekashi was sitting there and I looked at him and said, ‘I’m putting a wig on you.’ And he said, ‘Boy, stop, you’re not putting a wig on me.’ And that was the day, I think, when he shot ‘ Trollz ‘with Nicki [Minaj]”Wright said.” The next day, I tried the slime green and purple wig. I said, ‘I promise, you’ll look like a rock star.’ “

Are you eager to see the new look he tries?
