A teenager goes viral after her family tricked her with a hilarious prank on social media.
Nombulelo Patricia Sithole, an 18-year-old from South Africa, shared the stunt to Twitter on August 9th. Her clip, which has been viewed more than 2.2 million times, shows her adoption of the uber-popular “Influencer Challenge.”
For the unknown, the viral challenge prompted social media users to film a video pretending to be an influencer. In reality, they actually film the other way around, and secretly record their friends and family when they respond.

In Sithole’s case, the prank was busy describing her hilarious fake fitness regimen.
“Hey guys, welcome to my channel,” she begins the clip, in traditional influencer fashion.
Sithole describes her ‘skin care routine’, which involves eating no ‘red or white meat’.
‘I only eat sushi,’ she says as her family begins to laugh at her.
The teen adds that she wakes up at 4 a.m. every day and does a “45-day push-up routine.” At that point, her family loses it completely. Apparently Sithole started laughing too.
“I did the Influencer Challenge on my family and maaaan, I could not keep track of it,” she recorded her video.
Sithole told Mashable that her family members played good sports about the secret film. In fact, she said she started laughing at the prank by the time she finally started laughing.
The reaction of her family was one thing – the whole internet was everything else.
“I knew the video would blow up, but not in this way,” Sithole told Mashable. “I felt like everything was falling apart when influential people started commenting and retweeting.”
Now the teenager and her family are internet hackers, with thousands of Twitter users sharing praise.
