Taylor Swift fans have noted that the singer has subtly ignored Kanye West on her new album ‘Folklore’.
In the song ‘Paz’, Swift sings: “But there are thieves to the east / Clowns to the west. “
In the video for the lyrics accompanying the song, which you see below, “east” is lowercase, but “west” begins with a capital “W”, leading Twitter users to believe that he is referring Kanye.
“In peace, Taylor Swift capitalized on the west and not the east and no one can convince me that she is not calling Kanye a clown,” wrote one user.
Another added: “The way Taylor Swift said peacefully ‘thieves to the east, clowns to the west.’ Notice how ‘east’ is in small capitals while ‘West’ is capitalized. It is definitely referring to Kanye West, I’m Screaming “.

The two stars have had a tumultuous friendship over the years, with West infamously interrupting Swift’s speech at the 2009 MTV VMAs.
Most recently, Swift said it was “framed” by West, after the phone call he had with the rapper to discuss his leaked 2016 song ‘Famous’ online.
Swift and Braun are also embroiled in an ongoing battle over the singer’s later catalog and master recordings, stemming from Braun’s purchase of Swift’s former record label Big Machine, a transaction that made him the owner of the first six Swift studio albums. Swift called the move “manipulative harassment.”
Meanwhile, Swift celebrated the release of ‘Folklore’ by sending knit jackets to various fans, including Kobe Bryant’s daughter Natalia.
Kobe joined Swift onstage at her Los Angeles show during the ‘1989’ tour in 2015. Other cardigans the star has sent included recipients such as Kesha.
