Tamera Mowry leaves ‘The Real’ after 7 years

Tamera Mowry announced Monday that she will be leaving “The Real” after six seasons.

“For seven years, my home and heart have been at The Real,” the 42-year-old wrote on Instagram. “The friendships I have made there will last a lifetime, and the people I have been blessed to interview have changed my life for the better.”

Mowry added that she is “very proud” of what the cast has accomplished, “including two well-deserved NAACP Images Awards and a Daytime Emmy.”

“However, all good things must come to an end, and it is with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am leaving The Real,” Mowry continued. “For my fellow hosts, I love them, will miss them, and will always be there to help them. Thank you for teaching me, supporting me and loving everyone. ”

Mowry said he will be “rooting” for his co-stars from afar.

“I look forward to spending more time with my family, looking for incredible new opportunities and embarking on the next chapter in my life,” he concluded.

Mowry also stated that while she did not intend to address his departure on Monday following the death of Naya Rivera, she wanted to be the one to communicate her personal news.
