Tamar Braxton and WE tv Cut Ties (EXCLUSIVE)

Tamar Braxton and WE TV are officially cutting ties, following Braxton’s call off the network for his “excessive and unfair” job demands.

In a new WE TV statement, obtained exclusively by Variety, The network says it will “work with its representatives to honor their request to complete all future work for the network.” The decision comes just a day after Braxton filed charges that the network “betrayed her … she worked too hard and paid poorly.”

Braxton currently has two series set up on WE tv: “Braxton Family Values” (which has aired six seasons to date) and the upcoming project “Get Ya Life!” Sources close to both say Braxton will appear in some episodes of season 7 of “Braxton Family Values,” which began production prior to Braxton’s suicide attempt and subsequent comments. As for “Get Ya Life!”, WE TV has already delayed the show’s debut earlier this week, and sources say the show’s six episodes (which have completed filming) will still air as planned from 10 of September.

Braxton has so far been the second highest-paid talent in WE tv history, behind only his sister Toni.

“Tamar Braxton has been an important part of our networking family for over a decade. As you focus on your health and recovery in what is clearly a difficult and personal time, we will work with your representatives to honor your request to complete all future work for the network. We wish him nothing but the best, “the WE TV statement read.

In an Instagram post yesterday, Braxton also made a series of damning comments about the overall state of the reality TV industry, of which he has been a prominent part for the past decade. She stressed the need for a union for reality TV personalities, since they currently do not have “a formal representation that protects our work, our rights, our voices.”

Braxton was rushed to the hospital on July 16, after LAPD responded to an emergency call from her Ritz-Carlton residences in downtown Los Angeles. In a long Instagram post, Braxton said he is now “on an irreversible path to healing” after an attempt to kill himself.
