Talk point: What are you playing this weekend? (July 4th)

Smash

With another week out of the way, this time with a new Smash Bros. update, a new Animal Crossing update, and even an apology from Nintendo for the Joy-Con drift (!) – It’s finally time for us to sit down and chat about our weekend game plans. Members of the Nintendo Life Team have discussed exactly that below, and we’d love for you to join us through our survey and feedback section. Enjoy!

This weekend I think I will dedicate most of my free time to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. I tried out the new fighter Min Min earlier this week, but I haven’t really been back into the game since. Based on the few hours I have spent with this fighter so far, I am impressed. Obviously, his greatest strength is keeping his opponents on arms length.

The other game I plan to spend some time with in the next few days is Pokémon shield. Admittedly, I quit, so the plan is to go back to mesle of Armor, finish leveling my Kubfu and take a trip to the Tower of Darkness. That’s likely to me, happy game!

My playing time on Switch has calmed down a bit in the past few weeks, thanks in part to the fact that I spend all the time I follow. The last of us, part II – which has been pretty amazing so far – and partly because now I’m waiting Paper Mario: The Origami King to arrive later this month.

However, I’ll probably try to squeeze myself in a little while with Pokémon sword. I think I mentioned this last week, but I’m only a handful of monsters away from a full Pokédex in the entire base game and expansion of The Isle of Armor, and I’m eager to have fellow NLife’er Liam do some swapping. . Then I will be ready for the second part of the expansion later this year.

I managed to finish the excellent Fire watch last weekend after starting it sometime last year. I enjoyed it so much that I would really like to go back to the beginning again and refresh my memory of Henry and Delilah’s initial conversations. However, it is unlikely that I will have time: I am currently playing something else to review that occupies me every minute. Stay tuned for my thoughts on that mysterious game sometime next week. Until then, have a good one.

As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave a vote in the poll above and a comment below with your game options in the coming days …
