With the outbreak of an international automotive chip shortage this year, countries have turned to Taiwan for help. Foreign media reported that the US Biden administration will hold an online meeting with Taiwanese government officials and top semiconductor industry executives such as TSMC and MediaTek next week to accelerate the supply of needed chips to US automakers. The Ministry of Economic Affairs confirmed today (29) that Minister Wang Meihua will also attend the meeting.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs mentioned that the supply chain cooperation between Taiwan and the United States is getting closer and closer.
