Tennessee Governor Bill Lee (Republican) posted several updates on the 25th bombing on social media Twitter on Saturday.
He visited the scene of the explosion early Saturday.
“The loss is shocking and it is a miracle that no resident has been a victim,” said Li, who also praised the police for their heroic life-saving performance.
He said the Sheville Metropolitan Police discovered a suspicious caravan around 6 am on the 25th. The car exploded 30 minutes later, injuring at least three people and prompting a large number of evacuations for local residents.
Currently, Nashville Mayor John Cooper (Democratic Party) has issued an executive order declaring a state of emergency in the affected area and will enforce a curfew until Sunday night.
Tennessee also initiated a Level 3 state of emergency, and the explosion also affected AT & T’s communications in several states, including Tennessee.
Furthermore, Li sent a letter to President Trump on the 25th, requesting the federal government to provide emergency assistance.
“In view of these factors, the severity and severity of the current situation determines that effective response measures are beyond the capabilities of the affected state and local governments,” Li wrote in the letter. “Therefore, it is necessary to obtain information under the Stafford Act. Federal assistance to supplement the available capacity and resources of state and local governments, disaster relief organizations, and to offset disaster losses through insurance.”
The Stafford Act authorizes the federal government to provide assistance to local governments after a major disaster or emergency.
The White House did not respond to a request for comment.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee sent a letter from the Governor to President Trump on Saturday night saying: “I urge President Trump to accept Governor Lee’s request to announce the Nashville bombing on Christmas Day. This is a major disaster. This will serve to use federal resources to help our communities recover and support small business owners affected by the pandemic. “

At 6:30 a.m. Friday, a caravan (RV) exploded off 166 N2 Avenue in downtown Nashville. The blast shook empty streets early on Christmas morning, smashed windows, damaged buildings and injured three people. Authorities said they believed the explosion was deliberate.
When the caravan exploded, police did not confirm if anyone was inside. So far no deaths have been reported.
Police said the motive for this incident is not yet clear and should wait for further investigations.
Currently, the authorities have released a photo of the alleged RV. The FBI wants the public to provide relevant information.
