In response to the resurgence of the local epidemic, Zhang Qiqiang from the New Taipei City Tourism and Tourism Bureau stated that, effective immediately, all outdoor gathering activities (including product promotions) in the City of New Taipei Christmas will be suspended and applications will no longer be accepted. During the Christmas City event until January 3 next year, it will remain open and will not be affected.
Zhang Qiqiang pointed out that before the event, New Taipei Christmas Town had presented an epidemic prevention plan, which will be implemented in stages according to changes in the epidemic, and will be reviewed by the government health bureau. The follow-up will depend on the Central Epidemic Command Center to announce the status of the epidemic and the New Taipei City epidemic. If there is any change, it will be evaluated at any time and, based on professional judgment, will stop when it should stop.
The New Beiguan Tourism Office further explained that outdoor gatherings in Christmas Town refer to temporary product press conferences or product promotion meetings that are all suspended, if the subsequent epidemic is stable and there are no cases of local regeneration, will be resumed according to the evaluation of the Health Office. But the existing container houses, the light sculpture show, the light gallery, etc. continue to function as usual.
