At around 9:19 PM this (10) afternoon, a 6.7 Richter scale earthquake occurred in Taiwan! Areas with earthquakes of magnitude 4 or greater include: North, Yilan, Central, Hualien, and bamboo seedlings.
▲ An earthquake occurred in the night and the national alarm sounded loud.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a report on the earthquake in the evening stating that a major earthquake with a scale of 6.7 occurred in Taiwan. The epicenter was at 24.74 degrees north latitude and 122.03 degrees east longitude. It was about 27.2 kilometers from the Yilan County Government in the waters of eastern Taiwan, with a focal depth of 76.8 kilometers.
