Guo Mingchi published a report on Monday (14) that Apple’s fall conference held in the early morning of the 16 will mainly introduce new Apple Watch and iPad products. There will be no iPhone 12 series.
This fall’s Apple presentation will take place at 1 a.m. September 16, Taiwan Time (10 a.m. September 15, US Western Time). On Monday (14), Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that considering the mass production and shipment of Hora products, tomorrow will be Apple’s fall conference without iPhone12.
Apple’s upcoming new products (AAPL-US) include the iPhone 12 series, the new iPad Air, and the new Apple Watch. Guo Mingchi predicts that the iPhone 12 series will ship in early October at the earliest, and the iPad Air and Apple Watch will ship in mid-September.
Guo Mingchi said that considering the mass production and shipping time, Apple is anticipated to announce a new iPad Air and a new Apple Watch, but not an iPhone.
Guo Mingchi expects that the iPhone 12 series will launch three different sizes and four models of the iPhone 12 series, all compatible with 5G (Sub-6 GHz and mmWave + Sub-6 GHz).
Including 5.4-inch iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Max and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Guo Mingchi also predicted that the iPhone 12 will not support the 120Hz screen refresh rate. The 5G feature is already detrimental to battery life, so Apple avoids 120Hz power consumption.
The report also mentioned that the bumps of the new 6.1 and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 models are the same as the existing iPhone 11. In order for the information in the upper left and upper right to display normally, the bangs area on the 5.4-inch iPhone is slightly narrower.
Furthermore, Guo Mingchi predicts that the iPad Air will be the first Apple product to adopt the side Touch ID integrated with the power button. Starting in 2021, more new iPad models will be equipped with this feature.
The key selling point of the new Apple Watch is blood oxygen detection, and the appearance hasn’t changed significantly. It will not be possible to change the appearance until the second half of next year.
Guo Mingchi suggested that investors should pay attention to Apple’s stock price risks: the demand for new products, the US presidential election, the US-China conflict and pneumonia of the new crown, but he’s looking at the long-term prospects for Apple and most vendors.
