Australian flight attendant Rochelle Crossley was vaccinated in the Middle East with a new crown vaccine manufactured on the continent. When she entered Australia, she provided a vaccination record, but was asked by local authorities that there is no new corona vaccine in the world, and the other party even mistakenly thought she was vaccinated against influenza. The vaccine stunned her.
According to reports from Nine Network, The Sydney Post, and China Global Television Network (CGTN), Cross, an Australian flight attendant working for Etihad Airways in the United Arab Emirates. Inoculated with the new crown vaccine developed by China’s state group Sinopharm (Sinopharm) and became the first Australian citizen to receive the new crown vaccine.
But this was not entirely good for her. When Cross entered Australia with the vaccination record documents earlier in the month, health officials questioned her. Cross recalled, “They looked at me like I did something wrong.” Saying “You know there’s no vaccine yet,” one of the airport nurses even thought that Cross had mistaken the new corona vaccine for the flu shot.
Later, Cross was arranged to live in a hotel for isolation before he was allowed to reunite with his family.
The new corona vaccine developed by the Sinopharm Group is currently in phase 3 clinical trials in the UAE, where 30,000 people have been vaccinated.
Cross said he had a cough as a side effect after the first dose of the vaccine, but had no symptoms after the second dose.
Dr Rob Grenfell of Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) said that Sinopharm’s new corona vaccine is one of five vaccines currently undergoing final testing around the world, but emphasized that even if the vaccine has been developed at this stage, it does not mean that the nose or hands will not be infected with the new corona virus or that the virus will not be transmitted.
