[Reportero Yang Jincheng / Tainan Report]The Guyue Bridge, connecting the 18-3 and 18-5 public waters of Yuejin Harbor Water Park, Tainan, opened today (14), adding a leisure log attraction to the saltwater area. The Tainan City Water Conservation Bureau received a grant from the central government for a forward-looking infrastructure construction water environmental plan of 67.3 million yuan to rebuild the Xinyi Embankment Bridge between the ring waters from Yuejin port in the salt water area, connecting the new and old waters of Yuejin port. The new bridge is a circular arch bridge.The design echoes the Shuiyue Bridge not far downstream, and there are landscape platforms and bicycle lanes connected by the water area.
The Yanhui District Office held an activity to request the name of the bridge and vote for it, and it was finally named “Guyue Bridge”, which embodies the cultural heritage importance of “the ancient moon in the present city”.
Huang Weizhe said that in ancient times it was called “One Government, Two Deer, Three Mengjia, and April Jin.” In the early years, the four largest cities in Taiwan, two of them were in Tainan. If leisure construction is done well, we hope that more foreign tourists will visit the salt water to bring prosperity to the place.
Han Ronghua, director of the Nanshi Water Conservation Office, said that Nanshi promoted the “Yuejin Fenghua Reappearance Project” and received forward-looking grants for the reconstruction of the green front, the improvement of water quality and the Yuejin port ring water area sewage interception project, public 18-3 and public 18-5 series of water parks and other projects cost 261.3 million yuan and integrate modern construction methods in the ecological environment and human history. All of them have been completed so far to create a new recreational look exclusively for Yuejin Port.
Wu Xinxiu also said that the central government will continue to build water quality improvement projects in the saltwater area. Among them, the long line in the saltwater area will be the next highlight. In the future, the Tainan Water Resources Office will be invited to propose proposals.
