The rumors are true … something.
Stories recently circulated that Taco Bell planned to revise its menu and would soon remove some popular menu items.
The company released a statement confirming that menu changes are coming and that some of the rumors were true, although they did not understand everything well.
A Taco Bell spokesperson confirmed to Fox News that the fast food chain is simplifying the menu in an effort to make orders “faster, safer and easier” for workers and customers. The changes are taking place as the company has shifted priorities to digital and automated orders in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The following items will be removed from the menu: Grilled Filet Soft Taco, 7-Layer Burrito, Nachos Supreme, Beef Fried Burrito, Spicy Toast, Triple-Layer Nachos, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, Cheesy Fiesta Cheesy Potatoes, Loaded Grills, French Fries and Sauces and finally the Mini Skillet Bowl on the breakfast menu.
Much of the anguish surrounding the rumors seemed to focus on the possibility that the popular Quesarito, a quesadilla turned into a robust burrito, would leave the menu.
Taco Bell confirmed that Quesaritos will be removed from restaurant menus, but the item will continue to be available through online ordering.

The changes will take effect on August 13.
The news will be a relief for social network users who feared the disappearance of Quesarito.
As one user said, “Taco Bell discontinued the potatoes and the cheese was officially consolidated this year as the worst.”
“First they came for the electric burrito and I didn’t say anything because I didn’t ask for the electric burrito,” added another. “Now they have come for the cheese, and there is no one left to speak for me.”

“We have suffered enough this year,” said another person. “Please don’t get rid of the cheese.”
