Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Milan hero: praise around the world

Zlatan Ibrahimovic already became the top scorer on Thursday as Milan advanced to the Europa League qualifying round, and on Monday night he proved that good form is in place.

With an impressive header and a perfectly placed penalty, the Swede became a hero when Milan beat Bologna 2-0 in the opening of Serie A.

Now Zlatan Ibrahimovic pays tribute after the show.

“It’s crazy! Zlatan’s sick hope in the 35th minute gave Milan 1-0,” wrote the Spanish Sports Center on Twitter.

“He still looks fit at the age of 38,” says Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl.

“Will they ever stop him?” Asks BBC commentator Callum Williams.

ESPN simply says that “Zlatan does what he does best.”

“In 20 years, Zlatan will still score goals”, believes Planet Fútbol.

The Polish Eleven Sports attacks with a classic analogy:

“Swedish is like a good wine, the older the better.”

German Sky believes Zlatan was “born to score” and NBC sports reporter Shahan Ahmed believes the Swede deserves to be compared to Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Zlatan’s greatness has not received enough attention because he played during the Messi / Ronaldo era and no one has been considered at his level,” writes Ahmed and receives a response from Jeremy St Louis, a CBS competition commentator.

“Those of us who slavishly follow the sport know that Zlatan is among the best of all time. A true legend,” writes St Louis.
