He has joined the national team.

But Jordan Larsson realizes the risk when Zlatan Ibrahimovic has opened up for a return to Blågult.

– It would make it more difficult for me, says Larsson.

Forward Jordan Larsson has had success with his Spartak Moscow in the Russian Premier League this fall. Eight goals and four assists in 19 league games, a production and development that has meant that he has taken a place in Janne Andersson’s squad ahead of Sebastian Andersson and John Guidetti.

And of course the 23-year-old Larsson wants to keep it until the final of the European Championship this summer.

– I am doing everything I can here at Spartak to show that I deserve a position on the EC squad, but in the end it’s up to the coach. And right now we have a lot of good forwards in the national team, Jordan Larsson tells RT.

“More difficult for me”

And the competition can be even tougher. For Zlatan Ibrahimovic he told Sportbladet that he misses the national team, and immediately after the interview, Ibrahimovic and the captain of the national team, Janne Andersson, met in Milan.

– It would be good for Swedish football if he came back. He is a fantastic player, he is 39 years old and he still does what he does. That would be positive. Obviously, it would be more difficult for me to join the team. But for Swedish football in general, it would be fantastic, says Jordan Larsson.

Federation captain Janne Andersson will lead his next team to the World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Kosovo in late March 2021.
