The last time Stephani Tissari meets her sister is on February 7, 2018. So Jasmina Tissari has less than a day to live.
– We had a lot of fun that night. Mom and Jasmina had collected their passports before a trip to Spain, says Stephani Tissari.
The sisters traveled, celebrated and lived together. At home, Stephani Tissari’s little sister wasn’t always the first to take over the household chores, but instead sat and drew. She dreamed of becoming a fashion designer and had an eye for detail. People liked being with her, she was spontaneous, social, and could talk to most people.
Tonight wants Jasmina Tissari goes out again when the sisters return home. She doesn’t say where, but Stephani Tissari suspects it’s for the ex-boyfriend.

Police and ambulance He arrives at the apartment in Vällingby and Jasmina Tissari finds herself strangled in the bathroom. The 32-year-old was later sentenced to 13 years in prison for murder.

Just over two years later, Stephani Tissari is sitting on the couch in the same apartment where she lived with her sister. When she leans forward and shows the coffee cups, her sister’s name tattoo is seen on her forearm.
– I did it two weeks after we found out. Because she will always be there.

The report describes how the man with whom Jasmina Tissari had a relationship, six months before the murder, calls the SOS alarm. Two patrols are dispatched to the scene and both the man and Jasmina Tissari are suspected of crimes: him for giving him three earplugs and she for threatening him with a knife. However, none of them want to participate in an investigation and preliminary inquiries are closed.
But according to the supervisory unit, there were several things that did not go well. Jasmina Tissari was not informed about how it worked with a contact ban or protected housing or about the rules regarding the appointment of a lawyer for the plaintiff. Neither she nor the man were questioned and they were not registered as close relatives. The risk of a recurrence of a similar or even more serious event was not assessed either.
The police in question They have stated during the investigation that they do not remember the incident.
Stephani Tissari says she does not know what it would have meant if the police had done everything right at the time and informed about the possibilities for protection.
– But I could still keep that in mind, if there is anything. Instead of calling a friend, for example.

He is reminded of his sister every day, often through little everyday things.
– Sometimes it can be when you have to fix your hair – he liked to do different hairstyles. So you may think that “now Jasmina would have been here and she would have done a nice hairstyle”. Sometimes you get happy, but sometimes it feels like “damn, she’s not here.”
In a corner of the room hanging framed photos of Jasmina Tissari. One of the ones Stephani Tissari likes the most is where the sister wears a sweater in the colors of the Finnish flag and holds a beer. She looks happy.
The hardest thing, says Stephani Tissari, is the fact that her sister no longer exists.
– You don’t want to go to the cemetery to meet her.
