Just before 5 pm on Tuesday afternoon, several people alerted the police, after a man was found injured in Brynäs in Gävle.
The man was taken to hospital and the incident is classified as an alleged attempted murder, police write on their website.
– This is how we have directed it, we will see if it stays that way or not. We will get in touch with prosecutors in the future and see what happens, says the press spokesman for the police in the central region, Daniel Wikdahl.
Works with clue search and door knocks
The man must have been awake when they found him, but the status of his injury is unclear.
– I can not comment on it and it is partly because it is under attention and has not been heard, and partly I have not received any updates from health, says Daniel Wikdahl.
The police conducted a house search at 6.30 pm and were later able to arrest a man in his 25s.
– We have several patrols there that work, among other things, with the search for clues, knocking on doors and the like, and investigative measures that led us to find and arrest a 25-year-old man.
