It was Tuesday night at 9 p.m. that 42-year-old Ognjen Kostadinovic went out to dump the garbage at Hisings Backa.
His wife Jelena Panic Kostadinovic and their eight-month-old daughter remained in the house.
But Ognjen never came home. A few minutes after leaving the house, Jelena’s father and brother found him dead, with several stab wounds to the chest.
He later died in hospital, which “Wanted” on TV3 previously noted.
Ognjen was a new working father of young children. He was a loving husband and father, a greatly loved and respected co-worker, a cherished and dear friend, says Jelena.
Just days after the death of her husband and her young daughter lost her father, Jelena opts to speak up about what happened to persuade people who know something about the incident to come forward.
– For a completely innocent person to lose their life in this tragic way is completely unacceptable. Not a single other family will have to suffer something like this again, he says.
Police are investigating the crime as a homicide or homicide, but have so far been unable to arrest anyone. There is also no suspect, but like Jelena, she appeals to the public for information about the knife attack.
The leader of the police preliminary investigation, Jarl Winqvist, tells GP that everything indicates that Ognjen was completely innocent and that they have not been able to find any possible motive for the incident.
– We have combed the area and we have not found anything that will take us forward. By all accounts, he is a completely unforgivable person. We do not see any reason for this incident. That’s the terrible thing, he tells the newspaper.
