World Pride in Malmö will not be postponed
World Pride in Malmö will be available in August next year. Organizing or postponing the event due to the pandemic is out of the question. But on the other hand, it can be a more digital event. “The biggest challenges for restrictions are the shows and our main scenes with the great artists,” says Anna Tenfält, project manager at Malmö Pride.
Since the decision was made on October 8, 2017 that Copenhagen and Malmö will host the giant World Pride event and Euro Games 2021, the project has suffered several setbacks. Malmö Pride had a chaotic membership battle for the first time and this spring the project manager, Gudrun Hauksdottir, stopped by to protest. At the same time, it seemed calm in Copenhagen, where Pernille Drost with a past from the Roskilde Festival this spring became the new CEO of Copenhagen 2021.
