– We follow the general advice of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency on construction site noise, which means that work that can lead to impulsive noises or other similar disturbing noises can only be performed during the weekday, says Fredrik Odin , production manager of the inland port in a press release from the municipality of Norrköping.
When the project is completed, between 3,500 and 4,000 tons of anchor pontoon and 1,500 to 2,000 tons of pile logs will have been demolished, the municipality indicates.
The old dock is outdated and needs to be replaced. The new pier is estimated to be 700 meters long and several canals will be built from the pier to the district. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2022.
