– Right now things are worse for companies, leading to a greater focus on streamlining operations through new technologies. Companies that have given a big warning take the opportunity to change the workforce. There is also a lot of pressure to adapt to new behaviors and needs.
Administrative work is the most affected
Those most affected by automation are administrative professions such as payroll and personnel managers. According to the Union analysis, more than 40% of the tasks can disappear.
Among white-collar workers, women dominate in most professions where automation is increasing at a rapid rate and therefore risk being more affected by change in technology.
– Now that unemployment is increasing, politicians focus a lot on those who are unemployed, who obviously need help. But it’s absolutely critical to also focus on those who are at risk of being knocked out, says Katarina Lundahl.
