A woman in her 25s fell from the third floor of an apartment building in Eslöv on Thursday.

Later, the police announced that the woman had died from her injuries.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police were dispatched to the apartment in central Eslöv after an alarm was received shortly after 3 pm that a person had fallen from a high altitude from an apartment building.

The woman was reportedly seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Lund hospital. According to SVT Nyheter Skåne, it must have fallen from the third floor.

Around 9 p.m., the police announced that the woman, in her 25s, had died of her injuries.

Initially, the case was classified as attempted murder, but was later changed to murder.

– I don’t know exactly what time it changed. The moment we were able to verify that the woman was dead, there was murder. I don’t know what that moment is, police spokesman Rickard Lundqvist tells Sydsvenskan.

Suspect probable cause

A man was arrested and later arrested, for probable cause on suspicion of murder, reports TT. That is the highest degree of suspicion.

Skåne Police spokesman Rickard Lundqvist does not want to go in if it means the man pushed or pushed the woman off the balcony.

– We note that we classify this as murder. A man has been arrested and is a suspect in this crime, he tells TT

Police write on their website that due to the secrecy of the preliminary investigation and ongoing investigative measures, they will not release further information about the incident overnight.
