Mikael Carstensen will be the new CEO of Skolfastigheter in Uppsala. More recently, he came from a combined role as director of the area of children’s programs and education and process leader for the local supply of the municipality of Örebro.
Mikael Carstensen has experience in both the public and private sectors, including as a property manager, principal, and director of education. Board President Helena Ersson says in a comment that she will add and strengthen Skolfastigheter in the assignment as owner of schools and preschools in a rapidly growing Uppsala.
– The Board is pleased to welcome Mikael Carstensen as the new CEO of Skolfastigheter AB of Uppsala Municipality. At Mikael, we have found a responsive leader with extensive knowledge in leading and developing businesses. We believe his experience in previous assignments can continue to drive the company’s operations, he says.

Mikael Carstensen will take up his new role in June 2021.
– For educational activities to work in the best way, I know that educators and principals must be able to focus on that to achieve greater goal fulfillment in children and students. I will take up my new role as CEO of Uppsala Municipality Skolfastigheter AB with great commitment, and I look forward to working with all the employees there and in dialogue with the companies that use our facilities to create the best possible facilities for this, says Mikael Carstensen.
