It was during Wednesday that the man was questioned about the suspicions and assigned to his defense counsel by the Gothenburg District Court.
– The interrogation lasted an hour and the man has not been arrested. I don’t know how he got caught, but the process when he was on the porn site must have taken a very short time, about a minute which I have discovered, says Jan Steneby.

But how is the crime classified as serious?
– No idea, I wondered that too. For a child pornography offense to be classified as serious, it must have a commercial purpose, a wide scope, or be very crude images. But it is quite common for the police to classify this type of crime as serious, then it can be something else depending on where the investigation leads, says Jan Steneby.
The fact that the suspect works as a policeman means that it is the Special Prosecutor’s Office that is in charge of the preliminary investigation. Prosecutor Maria Sterup does not want to go into details about the investigation.
– It is an ongoing preliminary investigation, so I am not answering it, he tells SVT Nyheter Väst on Thursday morning.
